JNSA is a North American horse show organization that promotes the showing of horses in various locations around Jorvik. We offer a range of hunter, equitation, and jumper shows for all riders to compete in.

Showing Rules

Competitors must acknowledge and agree to the showing rules before signing up for a competition.

1. Attempting to lie or cheat the system in any way is not allowed.2. Once an event has started, riders are not allowed in the arena or on course. Schooling is allowed during check in and in between divisions. Failure to follow this rule will result in the rider being removed from all their classes.3. Riders must be at check in to compete. If a rider misses the allotted check in time for the class or division, they are automatically forfeiting their spot in the competition.4. There are no makeups. Once the last person in your class has started their round, there are no more opportunities for you to compete in that class.5. You must be in call during check in and your round. If you are not in call when it is your turn to ride you will be skipped over and potentially removed from that class.6. If you log out for any reason during your course you cannot get a redo.7. Any changes to your entry that are sent in after check in for that class has ended will not be accepted.8. Any change to your entry must be made through the edit entry channel, or it will not be accepted.9. Invalid entries must be resolved before the show starts. Once the show has started any attempt to fix an invalid entry will be invalid.

Hunters

Green Hunters

Open to horses and ponies.
Equines competing in the Greens cannot enter any other hunter division in the same show.
1 over fences class, 1 under saddle class

Over Fences
The over fences class is judged over a hunter course designed for equines new to the showing scene. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena and the quality of the jumps.Under Saddle
The under saddle is judged with all competitors in the arena. Competitors are expected to follow the gaits called out by the announcer while maintaining proper ring etiquette.

Performance Hunters

Open to horses and ponies.
1 over fences class, 1 under saddle class

Conformation Hunters

Open to horses and ponies.
1 over fences class, 1 model class

Over Fences
The over fences class is judged over a hunter course designed for equines familiar with the showing scene. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena and the quality of the jumps.Model
The model has two portions: the jog and the line up.
For the jog, riders are called in one at a time and trot their horses in hand. After completing their jog, they will line up single file for the line up portion.
For the line up, riders stand their horses in front of the judge and be judged on their horse & rider presentation.

Hunter Derby

Open to horses only.
1 classic over fences round, 1 handy over fences round.

Classic Round
The classic round is judged over a hunter course designed for equines seasoned to the showing scene. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena and the quality of the jumps.Handy Round
Top scores from the classic round move on to the handy. The handy round is judged over a hunter course designed to show off your horse's ability to maneuver around a difficult course. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena, the handiness of the horse, and the quality of the jumps.

Open to horses only.
1 jump phase, 1 flat phase.

The jump phase is judged over a hunter-style course. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena and the quality of the jumps.Flat Phase

Pony Medal

Open to ponies only.
2 jump phases.

1st Jump Phase
The 1st jump phase is judged over a hunter-style course. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena and the quality of the jumps.2nd Jump Phase
The 2nd jump phase is judged over a shortened jumper-style course. Competitors will be judged on their use of the arena, the use of inside turns, and the quality of the jumps.

Jump Seat Equitation

Open to horses only.
